Dr. Bekah Selby-Leach

The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆破解版 State University is excited to announce Dr. Bekah Selby-Leach as the new Director of the Center for Economic Development and Business Research (CEDBR). Dr. Selby-Leach, an accomplished researcher and leader in economic analysis, previously served as Interim Assistant Provost, Director of Institutional Research and Accreditation, and Associate Professor of Economics at Emporia State University. She succeeds Jeremy Hill, who directed CEDBR since 2009 and recently joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City as Assistant Vice President and Regional Executive.

Nov. 20, 2024 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University has launched the Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine and Assistive Technology (IRMAT), an innovative collaboration focused on addressing disease and disability through applied research and technology. IRMAT will serve as a hub for cutting-edge, patient-driven research and development of transformative technologies to improve the quality of life for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities.

Nov. 4, 2024 - 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is partnering on the PhotoVoice research project with AbilityPoint, an organization focused on the needs of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Participants are given a digital camera and memory card to take 50 (or more) pictures of the people, places, things and activities that bring them joy.

Jeff Hayton

In 2022, Hayton published his first book, 鈥淐ulture from the Slums: Punk Rock in East and West Germany,鈥 which explored the emergent punk scenes on both sides of the Iron Curtain. Intersecting cultural production with political and economic theory, Hayton explains the differences in state reactions to the rise of punk.
