Campus Assault Resources and Education (CARE)

Counseling and Testing Center Confidential counseling and advocacy services for survivors, their families and allies, including crisis services immediately after an assault. You can also discuss reporting options with a psychologist.

Student Health Services Confidential medical support and advocacy work. They will assess your needs and what you want before providing necessary treatment that includes first aid treatment, emergency contraception, and STI testing and treatment. They can also conduct the follow-up testing after the initial SANE/SART services at either Via-Christi St. Joseph's Hospital or Wesley Medical Center.

University Police Department Non-confidential reporting, safety escorting

Title IX Coordinators Non-confidential reporting, investigation, interim measures (no contact order, transportation, housing, academic, employment, facility access, campus escort)

Community

Free and confidential crisis intervention, medical and legal advocacy, individual counseling, group support, information, and referrals.

Provides immediate crisis intervention, safety planning, advocacy services, information, validation, and referral services for survivors of sexual and domestic violence and sexual exploitation. They also offer counseling, support groups, and shelter services.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner and Sexual Assault Response Team (SANE/SART) program that utilizes registered nurses who are specially trained to provide comprehensive assessment of survivors. Program can help prevent pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, collect forensic evidence, photo-document and diagram all injuries, and connect patients to resources they may need once they leave the hospital.

Provides a safe place to stay and support services including men's, women鈥檚 and children鈥檚 counseling; housing referrals; parenting classes; domestic violence education; budgeting and other life skill classes; assistance with employment; educational opportunities and referrals to community resources.

StepStone responds to the critical needs of the survivors of domestic violence by providing supportive services and transitional housing to nurture lives of stability and hope.
