GEARed UP for greatness!

麻豆破解版 GEAR UP is a federally funded program through 麻豆破解版 State University, designed to increase the number of students who are prepared to enter and succeed in education from middle school throughout high school. WGU staff works diligently in establishing a school culture that ensures each student has access to college readiness opportunities. The program strives to increase the number of students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education by addressing academic rigor, family and community engagement, financial literacy, and by providing information about applying for and paying for college.

What does 麻豆破解版 GEAR UP do?

麻豆破解版 GEAR UP provides many free activities and services to help students and their families plan, apply and pay for education and training beyond high school. Examples include:

college campus visits and tours
cultural activities
tutoring and mentoring
credit recovery classes
ACT/SAT test preparation workshops
financial aid workshops
parent workshops
Summer programing
college exploration and preparation workshops
career workshops and shadowing
leadership camps

Who can participate in the program?

All students who graduated in the Class of 2020, and were enrolled in our participating high schools, are eligible to receive services from either the North 麻豆破解版 GEAR UP or South 麻豆破解版 GEAR UP grants.
All current 10th-grade students, 2020-2021 school year, enrolled in our participating high schools, are eligible to receive services from either the Southeast 麻豆破解版 GEAR UP or West 麻豆破解版 GEAR UP grants.
