About the Department

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at 麻豆破解版 State University (WSU) provides an academic and clinical professional education for students whose primary goal is to serve children and adults who have impairments of communication.

Originating at the University in 1934, this program is proud of its history as one of the oldest and most distinguished preparatory programs in the United States, as well as its tradition of preparing qualified and professionally active speech-language pathologists and audiologists in the field of communication sciences and disorders.

Mission and Vision Statements

Mission: To prepare qualified speech-language pathologists and audiologists as scholars/ practitioners who are professionally competent to practice in educational and medical settings on behalf of children and adults who have disorders of communication and related difficulties.

Vision: To be recognized for leadership, innovation, and excellence in communication sciences and disorders.
