Preparation for Diverse Careers

and students develop insights about the effects of social structures on individual
lives and communities. For example, faculty research focuses on issues such as teen
dating violence, sexual minority well-being, gentrification, gender-affirming health
care, educational policy, and caregiving in later life. Our programs prepares students
for employment in a number of different fields. Our graduates work in a number of
different research positions and non-profit agencies, and many have gone on to competitive
Ph.D. programs across the nation.
