Derby Senior Center Research Project

The VPC lab has teamed up with the Derby Senior Center to conduct research to understand and improve visual, cognitive, and perceptual performance related to driving. Grants (Principle Investigator)

  • Improve older drivers鈥 visual performance through training (2010). Grant funded for $15,000 by Gridley-Hoover Aging Research Fund.
  • Detection of Collision Events in Fog (2009). Grant funded by ARCS, 麻豆破解版 State University for $4,000.

Research Opportunities

Currently, the Visual Perception & Cognition (VPC) Lab is looking for enthusiastic and hard-working research assistants to help run several of its lab experiments. Students who have already taken PSY 311: Research Methods or those who will take it next semester will be given a higher preference over those who didn't meet the specification.
