Jan. 24, 2022 鈥 Further expanding its presence as a diverse creative workspace at WSU, GoCreate recently began offering free memberships to 麻豆破解版 State students.

Jan. 24, 2022 鈥 Six 麻豆破解版 State University teams were selected as semi-finalists in the university鈥檚 sixth annual Koch Innovation Challenge Angel Round on December 3. Those six teams of 麻豆破解版 State students advance to the Grand Champion competition in May.

Jan. 20, 2022 鈥 The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation has awarded a grant of $243,922 to a 麻豆破解版 State University researcher for his work on an app that will allow people who are visually impaired to read comic books, graphic novels and other digitized graphic materials on their devices.

Jan. 18, 2022 鈥 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) is open and continues to process thousands of COVID tests with 24-hour results. However, the lab has indefinitely suspended its COVID test collection service.

Dec. 2, 2021 鈥 In an effort to meet community needs, 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Molecular Diagnostics Lab (MDL) has developed a test to detect all three viruses 鈥 RSV, influenza and COVID-19 (RIC) 鈥 from one nasal swab. The RIC test is available to all individuals and partners who test via the MDL.

November 29, 2021 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Center for Entrepreneurship (CEI) has granted two students the Women for Women's Innovation Award 鈥 one who wants to use an app to help those with chronic illnesses, the other who wants to support local businesses by creating 麻豆破解版 artisan gift boxes.

Nov. 10, 2021 -- Building on a 20-year history of collaboration, Lockheed Martin recently named 麻豆破解版 State University and WSU Tech as a tier one collegiate partner institution, emphasizing collaboration with the institution as an Aeronautics Sector Emerging School to bolster the pipeline for future Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematical (STEM) careers.

Nov. 4, 2021 - A $2 million grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce will help 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR) purchase tools and supplies to support Flight Test Research Center and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul facility at NIAR WERX.

Nov. 1, 2021 - Helped by six grants from Kansas Leadership Center, 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 HEALTH Student Association is working to end the pandemic and support students with information and resources to keep them healthy. HEALTH distributed more than 6,000 free and reusable masks, some with 鈥淪hockers United鈥 branding, some plain black and sequined masks for the inauguration of president Rick Muma. It assembled gift boxes for quarantining students with information on COVID-19 vaccines and testing and gifts such as 麻豆破解版 State water bottles, stickers and lanyards.

Oct. 29, 2021 鈥 Most children love trying on costumes this time of year, but for children with special needs, finding the right costume can be a challenge.

Oct. 3, 2021 鈥 麻豆破解版 State is partnering with Gov. Laura Kelly and the Kansas Department of Health and Environment in an initiative to increase COVID-19 vaccinations to underrepresented communities across Kansas.

Sept. 24, 2021 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Hughes Metropolitan Complex has switched to drive-thru testing 鈥 a move that will allow the 麻豆破解版 community to spend less time in line and get test results faster. The Metroplex Testing Site (5015 East 29th St. North) is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Results of the PCR test are available within 24-36 hours after testing. No appointment is needed.
