September 26, 2022 - The 麻豆破解版 State University Board of Trustees approved funding in September 2022 for phases 1A and 1B for the capital improvement plan to replace Cessna Stadium for a total project cost of approximately $11.8 million.

Aug. 19, 2022 - With initiatives such as roundtable discussions, early voting and voter registration drives, 麻豆破解版 State University earned a Highly Established Action Plan Seal from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. 麻豆破解版 State is one of 82 colleges and universities recognized for its commitment to increasing nonpartisan democratic engagement in 2022.

Aug. 17, 2022 - Civic engagement and freedom of expression through conversations is the goal for 麻豆破解版 State University students as they participate in StoryCorps鈥 One Small Step program. Designed to 鈥渞emind the country of the humanity in all of us,鈥 One Small Step brings together people with different political views together to record a moderated 50-minute conversation.

Aug. 12, 2022 - Wayne and Kay Woolsey Hall, the state-of-the-art facility that will be home to the W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆破解版 State University, is set to open for classes Aug. 22.

Aug. 11, 2022 - Secret shoppers often shop for pizza or clothing with an eye on helpfulness and timely service. They might also evaluate a hotel for cleanliness and service. But secret shopping isn鈥檛 just limited to those kind of consumer experiences. 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Public Policy and Management Center uses WSU students as secret shoppers to help workforce training centers improve their services for people in search of employment and job training.

Aug. 4, 2022 - 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Office of Innovation and New Ventures will address technology gaps in the local business ecosystem with the formation of the Small Business Digital Transformation Program. The program is funded with a $1 million grant from the American Rescue Plan Act. The Small Business Digital Transformation Program focuses on small businesses (500 or fewer employees).

July 28, 2022 - More than 1,000 local Amazon employees can now receive tuition assistance at 麻豆破解版 State University through the Amazon Career Choice program. Each full-time Amazon employee is eligible for $5,250 of tuition assistance per calendar year. Part-time employees are eligible for $2,625 per calendar year.

July 27, 2022 鈥 Nick Elam, educator and inventor of what is known as the Elam Ending in basketball, will speak to College of Applied Studies students at 5:15 p.m. Aug. 23 in 231 Hubbard Hall. Other WSU students and the general public are also invited to attend free of charge.

July 25, 2022 - 鈥淓xplore 麻豆破解版 State鈥 is a seven-stop campus audio tour featuring significant sites and university history. Host Carla Eckels of KMUW narrates. The tour starts at the Ulrich Museum of Art and ends at the Carnegie Library Columns at 17th and Fairmount.

July 18, 2022 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University, along with several community partners, presents the Suspenders4Hope Preventing Suicide Training at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21 at The Phoenix Gym, 145 N. Wabash in 麻豆破解版. This free training will be facilitated by Dr. Jessica Provines, 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 assistant vice president for wellness and chief psychologist. It鈥檚 open to all addiction treatment counselors and providers and community members.
