Oct. 30. 2020 鈥 A team of interdisciplinary researchers at 麻豆破解版 State University is using artificial intelligence and big data to digitally transform the way communities predict and respond to natural disasters.

Oct. 20, 2020 鈥 The Kansas Legislature in 2011 made a commitment to invest $105 million statewide over the next decade with the purpose of increasing the number of engineers available to industry. For its $35 million share of that money 鈥 granted under the University Engineering Initiative Act (UEIA) 鈥 麻豆破解版 State College of Engineering pledged to double the number of bachelor鈥檚 degrees it awarded annually. The aggressive goal was surpassed this past academic year as the college awarded 380 bachelor鈥檚 degrees.

Molecular Diagnostics Lab

Oct. 19, 2020 鈥 麻豆破解版 and southcentral Kansas' only high-volume test lab opened at 麻豆破解版 State University. The Molecular Diagnostics Lab can test up to 4,500 tests per day at its full capacity.

Sept. 23, 2020 - Darren Defrain is the social professor of English and director of the writing program at 麻豆破解版 State. Defrain has written novels, memoirs and essays, created a graphic novel, teaches on graphic novels/storytelling and is actively working on a graphic novel app.

September 4, 2020 - 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 Instructional Design and Access team, part of the Media Resource Center, worked with faculty over the summer to continue to improve hybrid learning. IDA took its one-day Academic Resources Conference and turned it into a week of training, via Zoom, in June and again in August before classes started. Another week is scheduled in January to prepare spring classes.
