麻豆破解版 State University engineering students present Ford Hall with a bicycle they modified to meet his needs.

June 7, 2021 鈥 Five-year-old Ford Hall has had to overcome more in his short life than most do in a lifetime. That鈥檚 because immediately after he was born, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The doctors informed his mother he would probably never be able to walk. 鈥淚t was that conversation with that doctor that really lit a fire in us,鈥 said Cori Hall, Ford鈥檚 mother.

Alumni Council

May 25, 2021 - The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆破解版 State University has partnered with the WSU Alumni Association to launch the college鈥檚 first alumni council. The Barton School of Business Alumni Council consists of professionals who received their bachelor鈥檚 and/or master鈥檚 degree from the business school and represents different regions, degrees and backgrounds.

May 18, 2021 - The 麻豆破解版 Rowing Association founded 麻豆破解版 State University crew in 1974, and that shared history remains important to many former Shockers. On May 8, the WRA dedicated its $250,000 Riverside Rowing Center Boathouse at Riverside Park on the Little Arkansas River.聽

May 13, 2021 鈥 Students enrolled in Integrated Marketing Communication Campaigns with Dr. Lisa Parcell have been working with Alce Su Voz, Riverfest and the Kansas Nonprofit Chamber to develop full marketing communication campaigns.

May 6, 2020 - In a true testament to his love for 麻豆破解版 State University, Rick Muma didn鈥檛 hesitate when he was asked to lead the university through a pandemic and an overall trying seven months as interim president. On May 6, the Kansas Board of Regents showed its appreciation and confidence in his leadership, giving Muma its nod of approval and making him the official 15th president of the university.

Tara Nolen

May 5, 2021 - Tara Nolen, a 2012 health services management and community development graduate of 麻豆破解版 State, is community health manager at Hunter Health, which has three locations in 麻豆破解版. She oversees outreach programs and coordinates COVID-19 vaccines. 鈥淭his is what we do in public health - when there鈥檚 a crisis we try to work to stop it,鈥 she said.

Tom Gentile

May 3, 2021 - The W. Frank Barton School of Business at 麻豆破解版 State University has launched its Executive-in-Residence program. This program will provide Barton School students, faculty and the 麻豆破解版 community with vital perspectives and knowledge from industry leaders. Tom Gentile, president and CEO of Spirit AeroSystems, will serve as the program鈥檚 first resident for the Fall 2021 semester.

2021 Rudd Scholars

March 25, 2021 鈥 The fourth class of Rudd Scholars includes 19 Kansas high school seniors who will attend 麻豆破解版 State University. Each recipient will receive a full-ride scholarship, which includes tuition, fees, on-campus housing and considerable networking/coaching support along the way. All Rudd Scholars are from Kansas and will attend 麻豆破解版 State, Emporia State or Fort Hays State.

March 23, 2021 鈥 麻豆破解版 State University has been designated a Voter-Friendly Campus by the Campus Vote Project and the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators.

March 17, 2021 鈥 麻豆破解版 State began developing the Shocker Neighborhood coalition to engage and empower the neighborhood communities surrounding campus. Since then, the commitment has expanded to include 10 neighborhoods and now engages with the community to provide resources, scholarships, academic support programs, mentoring and additional enrichment programs for neighborhood students.

March 11, 2021 鈥 Yuki To, senior at 麻豆破解版 East High School, is the winner of the 2021 Lenora N. McGregor Endowed Scholarship at 麻豆破解版 State University.

March 3, 2021 - Dr. Larisa Genin wants the W. Frank Barton School of Business to be the best business school in the nation. The plan to reach that status starts with creativity, an entrepreneurial mindset and teamwork. 鈥淚鈥檓 really hoping that anything we do in the Barton School of Business would revolve around three words 鈥 innovation, engagement and impact,鈥 she said. She hands out black and yellow rubber bracelets with the words 鈥淗appiness鈥 and 鈥淛oy鈥 stamped on as a reminder of her philosophy to emphasize a positive mindset and celebrate achievements.
