SGA Elections Commission Announces 2019 Moderator for Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate

WICHITA, KANSAS (March 11, 2019)- The 麻豆破解版 State University Student Government Association Elections Commission is pleased to announce the selection of City of 麻豆破解版 Council member Brandon Johnson of District 1 who has agreed to serve as the Moderator for the 2019 Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate hosted by the Elections Commission.

Council member Brandon Johnson was elected as the council member to District I in 2017. Johnson demonstrates his love for 麻豆破解版 through progressive programming, investments and initiatives to create a better city for current 鈥 and future鈥攔esidents. The 麻豆破解版-native鈥檚 civic leadership spans more than 10 years in areas including economic development through youth employment advocacy and job creation, social services and community education. As an active member of 麻豆破解版 Urban Professionals, Johnson works to help empower 麻豆破解版鈥檚 young, diverse and talented through relevant personal and professional development coaching, engaging leadership training and through dynamic social networking events.

This year鈥檚 debate will feature the four presidential and vice presidential tickets, including, Julian Cornejo and Will Schindler (Unity Through Diversity), Isaac Rivera and Anisia Brumley (Perpetual), Kitrina Miller and Michael Bearth (Together We Can) and Reid Linot and Blake Christopherson (All Voices Heard). The candidates will debate on various topics of student life, shared governance, local, state and federal politics that are affecting higher education, and much more.

The 2019 Debate will be on Friday, March 30th starting at 6:30pm in the Campus Activities Center (CAC) Theater at 麻豆破解版 State University, doors open at 6:00pm.
