Delta Air Lines Recruits WSU Students

Facilitated by the Career Development Center, members from Delta Air Lines Technical Operations team recently visited 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 campus on a visit to inform and recruit students for their co-op program. Principal Engineers from the company have been working on collaborations with NIAR and saw the opportunity to expand this partnership with potential student workers.

Delta鈥檚 Technical Operations division has a student program that includes positions within engineering and operational related areas. They are seeking to fill a number of co-op positions with students majoring not only in engineering, but computer science and business management as well.

Looking to branch out to a fresh audience, Whitney Searles, Olivia Menard, and Arial Wheelock of Delta visited campus in March to start recruitment efforts. Working with engineering faculty, they were able to present to a number of engineering classrooms. Additionally, a Lunch-and-Learn was held where over 70 students received insightful information about career opportunities within the company.

Delta was thrilled with their visit and indicated that WSU will now be one of their 10 universities they visit each year to recruit students for co-op positions.  They plan on coming back for the Engineering & IT Career Fair in the fall to further these efforts.

鈥淚t was a lot of fun and we met a lot of interesting kids,鈥 said Menard. 鈥淲e look forward to expanding this partnership.鈥

麻豆破解版 State's applied learning program gives students hands-on, paid experience with industry partners, helping them build careers before graduation.
