College is a time of change and challenges. Having a strong support system can make
a big difference in your success. While F1RST StEPS is designed for the first-generation
student in mind, ALL Shockers are welcome to attend this Shocker Preseason event!!!
The F1RST STEPS program is designed to help first-generation college students succeed.
First-generation college students are individuals whose parents did not graduate from
a four-year university. This program will keep you linked to First Gen driven events
and initiatives all year and make sure you are able to stay connected to resources
meant to guide you in your college career.
Take the first step to ensure your success by joining us the Tuesday before classes
begin! Start your first semester of college by getting together with other incoming
students for some snacks, free stuff, prizes, and learn about your strengths!
Almost half of our student population at 麻豆破解版 State University identifies as first-generation.
We celebrate this first step in your journey and are here to support you every step
of the way.
