Equality Kansas

Equality Kansas, formerly the Kansas Equality Coalition, was established in October 2005. Originally formed by the merger of independent LGBT advocacy groups in Topeka, Manhattan, and 麻豆破解版, Equality Kansas is a chapter-based grassroots organization. The organization currently has 11 chapters and over 2,000 members around the state.

GLSEN Kansas

GLSEN Kansas is a grassroots initiative, working locally in our community to ensure safe schools for all students, regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. There are 43 Chapters around the country doing this important work. This organization is also a chapter of GLSEN, a national organization fighting for every student's right to a safe, supportive education.

The chapter supports students and educators locally, organizes around LGBTQ-affirming public policy, plans teacher trainings, and hosts events for students, educators, parents and allies. Chapters play an important role in bringing GLSEN鈥檚 programs and visions to right where we live, work and learn. While some chapters have full-time or part-time staff, most are entirely volunteer-based. They are always looking for new volunteers to help us ensure safe schools for all students.

PFLAG Hutchinson

PFLAG is a support, education, and advocacy group for families, friends and allies of LGBT persons. Since 2013, PFLAG of South Central Kansas, located in the heart of Hutchinson, has worked with schools, healthcare, social services, businesses, and other community organizations in Hutchinson to offer education and support services to encourage and strengthen the communities in the area.

McConnell Air Force Base Gay/Straight Alliance (McConnell AFB GSA)

A private GSA organization dedicated to the LGBTQ+ community of McConnell AFB. We support active duty, retired, reserves, national guard, civilians and their families.

SPART*A

SPART*A is the premiere advocacy, education and peer-support organization working for, and comprised of, transgender members of the US Armed Forces.

Transgender American Veterans Association

The Transgender American Veterans Association advocates for equality for transgender veterans and active duty service members in healthcare, benefits and open transgender military service.

Transgender Veterans Support Group

The Transgender Veterans Support Group is a public forum for all transgender people and those who support them.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Facilities with LGBT Program Websites

"LGBT and related identities" is an inclusive term for sexual and gender minorities. Veterans may have other ways of describing themselves, so the term "LGBT and related identities" is used to inclusively recognize the full range of sexual orientation and gender identity minorities. All Veterans are welcome at VA, even those who identify as a sexual or gender minority. Sexual and gender minority Veterans have faced stigma and discrimination, which can affect health. As a healthcare institution, we need to work to make sure that Veterans with LGBT and related identities know that they are welcome at VA.

American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU)

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) exists to preserve and protectthe liberties and privileges guaranteed to each individual by the Bill of Rights. These liberties include freedom of speech and expression, equal protection under the law, due process of law and the right to personal privacy.

The American Institute of Bisexuality

The American Institute of Bisexuality encourages, supports and assists research and education about bisexuality, through programs likely to make a material difference and enhance public knowledge, awareness and understanding about bisexuality.

Athlete Ally

Sports remains one of the greatest socialization mechanisms in the world 鈥 it communicates values without relying on any one language, and its most successful participants are known and respected globally. And yet, an entire community of people remain systematically excluded from sport.

Athlete Ally believes that everyone should have equal access, opportunity, and experience in sports 鈥 regardless of your sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Our mission is to end the rampant homophobia and transphobia in sport and to activate the athletic community to exercise their leadership to champion LGBTQI+ equality.

The Asexual Visibility & Education Network (AVEN)

The Asexual Visibility & Education Network hosts the world's largest online asexual community as well as a large archive of resources on asexuality. AVEN strives to create open, honest discussion about asexuality among sexual and asexual people alike.

Bisexual Resource Center

The Bisexual Resource Center is the oldest national bi organization in the United States that advocates for bisexual visibility and raises awareness about bisexuality throughout the LGBT and straight communities.

Gay/Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)

The Gay/Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is a U.S. non-governmental media monitoring organization founded by LGBT people in the media.

GLSEN is a United States-based education organization working to end discrimination, harassment, and bullying based on sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression and to prompt LGBT cultural inclusion and awareness in K-12 schools.

Human Rights Campaign

The Human Rights Campaign envisions a world where every member of the LGBTQ+ family has the freedom to live their truth without fear, and with equality under the law. They empower our 3 million members and supporters to mobilize against attacks on the most marginalized people in our community.

National Center for Lesbian Rights

The National Center for Lesbian Rights is a national legal organization committed to advancing the civil and human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and their families through litigation, legislation, policy, and public education.

National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation鈥檚 capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice.

National LGBTQ Task Force

The National LGBTQ Task Force advances full freedom, justice and equality for LGBTQ people. We are building a future where everyone can be free to be their entire selves in every aspect of their lives. National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA)

The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance (NQAPIA) is a federation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations. The organization seeks to build the organizational capacity of local LGBT AAPI groups, develop leadership, promote visibility, educate our community, enhance grassroots organizing, expand collaborations, and challenge anti-LGBTQ bias and racism.

Out to Innovate鈩 is a professional society and global community of LGBTQ+ students and professionals in science, technology, engingeering and mathematics.

PFLAG

PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families and allies. With over 400 chapters and 200,000 members and supporters crossing multiple generations of families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas across America, PFLAG is committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued and affirmed.

Trans Student Educational Resources

Trans Student Educational Resources is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender non-conforming students through advocacy and empowerment. Founded in 2011, it is the only national organization led by trans youth.
