Making a Same-Day Reservation
Lightboard Rooms can be reserved in two ways: In-Advance through the Online Reservation System or through a Same-Day, in-person, reservation process.
Each of the following Lightboard Rooms on WSU Main Campus have a scheduling panel outside the room that will allow "same-day" reservations: Ahlberg 106G, Lindquist 309, McKnight 312, and Wallace 110. It is important to note that these scheduling panels do not allow for reservations beyond the current day and cannot be used to reserve other rooms across campus. For example: If you are using the scheduler outside of Lindquist 309, you cannot use it to reserve Ahlberg 106G. In order to reserve Ahlberg 106G, you will need to use that room's scheduling panel.
All reservations for dates/times beyond the current day must be made through the Online Scheduling process.
Reserving Through the Touch Panel Scheduler:
Go to the Lightboard room that you would like to reserve and locate the touch panel scheduler outside the room.
Tap on the screen to "wake" the device if it appears to have a black or dimmed screen, or appears to be in "sleep mode".
One the main screen of the scheduler, the timeline indicates when the room is available and booked for the day. If there is a section on the timeline in red or that appears blocked out, the room is already reserved at that time.
To reserve the room, tap on the "Reserve" button in the bottom right corner of the touch panel.
A window will appear for you to enter the "Event Name," "Organization," number of attendees, and Start and End Times.
Once you have filled out that information, simply select "Reserve" again and the reservation will be made.
You should now see that time is blocked off on the timeline.
