Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
麻豆破解版 State University offers three types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). These
are optional accounts that employees can set up when enrolling in their benefit plans.
- Health Care FSA - allows employees to put pretax dollars aside to pay for health related expenses. This includes copayments, deductibles (medical, dental, vision and prescription), and non-network services. An employee can participate even if he or she is not enrolled in a WSU health insurance plan. For 2023, participants may carryover up to $570 into the next year.
- Limited FSA - allows employees to put pretax dollars aside to pay for health related expenses. This includes copayments, deductible (dental and vision), and non-network services. Employees cannot use Limited FSA fund to pay medical or prescription drug expenses. For 2023, participants may carryover up to $570 into the next year.
- Mass Transit FSA* - allows reimbursement for qualified mass transit tickets or passes, or State of Kansas van pools
- Parking FSA* - allows for reimbursment for parking associated with daily commute
* For employees who pay for parking on WSU's main campus, these deductions are already pre-tax, so an FSA does not provide any additional benefit.
