Purpose: 鈥淚mpact Awards are designed for researchers both established and new to the field of Parkinson鈥檚 disease (PD). Projects should be "outside the box" with the goal of bringing new light to the biology of Parkinson's, a new approach to Parkinson鈥檚 research, or testing a truly noveltherapeutic idea. Projects should be based on unconventional ideas that are unlikely to be funded through more traditional funding mechanisms. Our goal is to provide the support that will enable researchers to test new ideas with an impact to the PD community and generate compelling results that will facilitate continued investment from the Parkinson鈥檚 Foundation and other funders.鈥

IMPROVE aims to understand the biological, behavioral, environmental, sociocultural, and structural factors that affect pregnancy-related and pregnancy-associated morbidity and mortality and build an evidence base for improved care and outcomes. The initiative promotes research to address health disparities associated with pregnancy-related and pregnancy-associated morbidity and mortality and supports research to reduce preventable causes of maternal deaths and improve health for women before, during, and after delivery. It includes a special emphasis on health disparities and populations that are disproportionately affected, such as racial and ethnic minorities, very young women and women of advanced maternal age, and people with disabilities. This request for applications will support courses for skills development in the measurement of IPV in populations of pregnant and postpartum people, consistent with the goals of the IMPROVE initiative.鈥

In this interactive presentation we will address both points of view, offering separate toolkits for faculty to take either approach, or to forge a blended one.鈥

Learn to Use BeoShock for your Advanced Research Computing Needs

This HPC is available and free to faculty members, researchers and students engaged in course work or research activities. BeoShock runs the CentOS Linux operating system and features approximately 720 processor cores, two high memory compute nodes with 1.5 terabytes of memory, and four graphics processing unit (GPU) accelerators. BeoShock also has a variety of software tools that may be helpful in your research endeavors, such as Matlab, Mathematica, R, Python and many more.

Patrick joined the Office of Research in August of 2022. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science from Brigham Young University and a master鈥檚 degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. Patrick was born in Michigan and has since lived in Kentucky, California, Utah, Germany, and Austria. He worked for the state of Utah for twelve years prior to moving to 麻豆破解版. Patrick and his wife Elizabeth have three daughters (16, 11, 10). His family loves to travel and find new and exciting places to visit when they are not driving the kids from one practice or lesson to another.

This Request for Information (RFI) will inform NIH's efforts to update its mission statement to ensure that it reflects the NIH mission as accurately as possible.鈥
