Overview

Pamela graduated cum laude from WSU in 1980 with a BS in Dental Hygiene. While a student at WSU, Pamela was president of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, president of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association and a Cheerleader. In 1989, she went on to complete her J.D. from the Sturm College of Law at the University of Denver College, finishing in the top 25% of her class. Pamela was R&T Editor of DU Law Review and participated in Moot Court.

She began her career as an attorney in 1989 and joined Morrison & Hecker. In 1996, Pamela joined Woodard, Blaylock, Hernandez, Roth & Day, LLC as a partner and specialized in medical and dental malpractice defense, civil litigation, and employment law. In 2008, Pamela 鈥渞etired鈥 as a trial lawyer. During her career, she was very involved in the 麻豆破解版 Bar Association, serving in various roles including, President, President-Elect, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, and Chair for the Civil Practice Committee. She has served on numerous boards for local nonprofits including the American Cancer Society (Board President), 麻豆破解版 Children鈥檚 Home (Board Chair), Kansas Humane Society (Board Chair), Lords Diner, 麻豆破解版 Community Foundation, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, and Heartspring. She is also Vice-Chair of Wesley Medical Center鈥檚 Board of Trustees. In addition to her roles on the WSU Foundation Board and the National Advisory Council (NAC), Pam serves as the Chair of the Dean鈥檚 Advisory Council for the College of Health Professions. Pamela previously served on the Alumni Association and SASO Board of Directors. In 2003, the 麻豆破解版 Business Journal featured Pamela in the first class of Women in Business.

Pam and her husband, Dr. Alex Ammar are Fairmount Society Life members, Alumni Association Life members, Society of 1895 members and men鈥檚 basketball season ticket holders.
