Overview

Dr. Warren Kim is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Piano at 麻豆破解版 State University. Holding a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance with a minor in piano pedagogy, his passion and dedication are evident in his diverse range of accomplishments. 

At the heart of Dr. Kim's professional repertoire lies his commitment to excellence in teaching. He teaches applied piano lessons, piano literature, collaborative piano, piano repertoire, and piano proficiency class. With a wealth of experience, he has served as an adjudicator at numerous competitions and festivals, both nationally and internationally. These include the International Piano Performance Examinations Committee in Taiwan, as well as state festivals such as Kansas State High School Activities Association, Manhattan Area Music Teachers Association, 麻豆破解版 Metropolitan Music Teachers Association, Music Progression, high school scholarship auditions, among others. 

Dr. Kim's talent extends beyond teaching, as he's performed on many stages. He was invited as guest collaborator at the Brass Institute of America festival multiple times. He has performed recitals with esteemed professors from the University of North Texas, Arizona State University, Carnegie Mellon University, Baylor University, Oklahoma State University, 麻豆破解版 State University, and numerous other acclaimed institutions. His collaborative ventures have been showcased on various platforms, including a broadcast of a performance on KWCH. He has also showcased his talent as a soloist, notably performing the first Tchaikovsky piano concerto with the WSU Symphony Orchestra. He has worked with opera theaters- accompanying a number of operas in their entirety. Additionally, his chamber group has achieved notable success, winning competitions such as the Wolff-Bing Chamber Competition and MTNA at a state level. 

Dr. Kim has been honored with prestigious residencies and invitations, including his role as an artist-in-residence at the RSO Aria Institute and an invitation to the Miami Music Festival as a pianist. His performances have captivated audiences across North America and Eastern Asia. He continues to receive invitations to perform internationally, including a recent recital in South Korea and engagements at universities across the United States. 

Beyond his musical prowess, Dr. Kim has demonstrated exemplary leadership and community engagement through his tenure as a music director at churches for over a decade. He has organized fundraising concerts to support community initiatives and was recognized for his contributions with The President's Volunteer Service Award, signed by former President George Bush. In all facets of his career, Dr. Warren Kim exemplifies a commitment to excellence, inspiring the next generation of pianists through his artistry, teaching, and community involvement.
