Kelly Young, LMSW. LMAC has dedicated 30 years to child welfare, domestic violence victim advocacy, and intervention. Starting with the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) in 1993, Ms. Young transitioned in 2001 to domestic violence victim advocacy, where she provided direct services and led policy change initiatives at local and state levels in Kansas. She returned to child welfare in 2011, contributing significantly to the Kansas Parent Management Training- Oregon Model (PMTO) through coaching, training, and fidelity rating.

Trained in implementation science, Ms. Young has conducted both quantitative and qualitative research. Her work demonstrates a commitment to enhancing social services and improving the well-being of social workers. Integrating traditional and creative data collection methods, she explores innovative approaches to understanding subjective experiences, positioning her research to strengthen interventions against compassion fatigue and secondary trauma among social work and helping professionals.
