Overview

Greg Novacek retired at the end of 2020 after 40 years at WSU. He was Director of the Lake Afton Public Observatory when that was run through WSU and showed the stars to tens of thousands of observatory visitors. Through the Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education (FaCSME) he did presentations in public schools and was the State Director for the Kansas Science Olympiad for nearly 30 years. He helped train hundreds of elementary and middle school teachers and taught courses in Physics and Education. Untold batches of ice-cream prepared with liquid nitrogen brought smiles to the attendees of his presentations. Happy retirement, Greg!
