Overview
Dr. Cheryl Golden is an Associate Teaching Professor of Ancient History, specializing in Roman law, Hellenistic military and political leadership, and ancient medicine in the Mediterranean world. She has taught classes for over 25 years, conducting research in the United Kingdom, and Europe, with particular emphasis in Mediterranean cultures. Her published works include articles on geography and the Greek historian Thucydides, the concept of exile in Hellenistic Greece, the myth of Atlantis, and Just War Theory in ancient Rome. Her current project includes a book titled Poisons at Rome with Routledge Publishing. She currently serves as Treasurer for the Association of Ancient Historians, an international group organized to support scholarship in ancient history. She has also served on boards for the Kansas Association of Historians, the Museum of World Treasures, and the 麻豆破解版 Sedgwick County Historical Museum.
