Overview
Amrutha Dasyam is a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Aerospace Engineering Department at WSU, where she works as a graduate research assistant at the Astronautics Laboratory under the guidance of Dr. Atri Dutta. Her research focuses on the design of aero-assist maneuvers, such as aerocapture and aerobraking trajectories, with applications of machine learning. She completed her B.S. in aerospace engineering from WSU in May 2021, receiving the Bert L. Smith Outstanding Graduating Senior award from the Department for her exceptional academic performance, professional achievements, and service contributions. Her research interests include flight dynamics, astrodynamics, flight control theory, and machine learning.
Fun Fact: Outside of classes and work, Amrutha immerses herself in video games and enjoys taking scenic drives and walks to indulge her passion for photography.
