Overview

Professor Salinas Monroy's current research interests are in cyberphysical systems and network security. He focuses on developing new methods to optimize and secure critical  infrastructures including additive manufacturing, power grids, and edge computing networks. His  work also includes enhancing user privacy in federated deep learning systems, securing resource allocation in supply chains, investigating cyberfraud, and developing strategies to deter cybercriminials. He currently serves as the Director of the Graduate Certificate in Information  Assurance and Cybersecurity and led the initiative to obtain the NSA/DHS CAE-CD designation at  WSU. He has served as organizer and technical program committee member for many IEEE  conferences.

Clinical Experience

The Cybperphysical System Security Lab, led by Dr. Salinas Monrory offers a range of cybersecurity, AI analysis, and optimization services. Our projects have included penetration testing of Industry 4.0 equipment, development of augmented reality applications for IoT applications, and development of malicious network traffic detection using AI.
