Kaitlyn is a member of the DzԴǰ CDZ, an Ambassador for Diversity and Inclusion, and a member of Deans Undergraduate Advisory Board for Barton School of Business. She serves as secretary for the College Democrats Club. Kaitlyn holds a high interest in social justice issues and doing her part to work towards an equitable society. She wants to see the work she does, and the values Kaitlyn has spread through her communities and ignite change within the world. She continues her volunteer outreach and mission work in the community through her church. Kaitlyn participates in volunteer work ranging from building stoves for families, packaging food kits for the community, and distributing back-to-school supplies for students. While working behind the scenes is wonderful, she prefers being on the front line and making connections with those in my community.
The Widener-GLP interested Kaitlyn because of its opportunities to grow in different talents alongside other women. The development and continued growth in the select areas of business, communication, and the arts will allow her to be a more well-rounded individual in and out of the workplace.
Kaitlyn plans to out of Kansas and to a larger city such as Nashville, TN or Charlotte, NC. She seeks a marketing position in one of several potential industries including the airline industry, music industry, news industry, or possibly for the NFL. Ideally, she wants to get an internship in one of these industries to help her gain a deeper understanding of the industry and help guide her future career decisions. The type of job duties she hopes to experience are outlining, organizing, and developing marketing content. Kaitlyn also seeks opportunities where she could highlight her interest in communications and management.
