There are millions of dollars鈥 worth of grants and scholarships available for college attendees, regardless of age. You may be surprised to learn just how much financial aid adult students qualify for. Here are options to help fund your return to college!

Osher Reentry Scholarship Program

麻豆破解版 State is the only institution in Kansas to offer the Osher Reentry Scholarship. This is for students who have had a cumulative five-year educational gap.

Candidates who meet the requirements can apply for scholarships worth up to $2,500 yearly ($1,250 per semester).

To apply, you must have the following:

  • Expected enrollment for the next academic year
  • Your myWSU ID
  • Updated Resume
  • Academic History Information
  • This includes high school or GED and any other college attendance
  • First page of your Student Aid Report from your FAFSA
  • Submit a short essay prompt

ScholarshipUniverse

ScholarshipUniverse is a scholarship-matching tool to help connect Shockers to millions of dollars in external scholarships.

Here is the ScholarshipUniverse Instructions:

  • Log in by using your myWSU ID and password.
  • There will be a series of questions to help build your profile account.
  • Each question will build your match and opportunity in the top right corner that are available for you to apply based on your answers.
  • Afterwards, you can view your matches that are best fit for your needs.

Applying for Financial Aid

FAFSA is a fantastic way to apply to get additional federal, state, and some types of institutional aid, such as loans, grants, and scholarships. To get started, go to and file an online application. The Federal Processing Center also accepts paper applications.

To evaluate the funding you qualify for, make a note of the FAFSA filing deadline. The sooner you apply, the faster you can get results to help with your financial decisions.

In order to complete your FAFSA application, you need the following:

  • FSA ID
  • Social Security Number
  • Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. Citizen)
  • Federal Income Tax Returns, W-2, and any other records of money earned
  • Your bank statement and/or records of investment
  • Records of untaxed income
  • An email account
