offer these scholarship opportunities to students in Shocker Nation.

For new, incoming students only
Distinguished Scholarship Invitational (Freshmen) A variety of scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen DSI participants, including three
$64,000 Harry Gore Memorial Scholarships - three of the largest scholarships in Kansas!
Scholarship Competitions (Freshmen) Each year a variety of scholarships are awarded to competition participants. Some
competitions are specific to students' majors or colleges, while others may have non-academic
criteria.
Shocker Promise Scholarships (Freshmen) 麻豆破解版 State shows its commitment to offer a quality, affordable education to incoming
freshmen who come from limited-income families in Kansas through the Shocker Promise
Scholarships. These awards provide last-dollar funding to high school graduates from
Kansas.
Phi Theta Kappa All-Kansas Academic Team Scholarship (Transfer Students) The PTK Scholarship provides a one-year award of $1,000 for named PTK All-Kansas Academic
Team Members, first-time, full-time transfer with a minimum overall transfer GPA of
3.25.
Transfer Merit Scholarships (Transfer Students) 麻豆破解版 State offers a variety of scholarships for new, admitted transfer students
(coming directly from another college or university).
For both new and current students
Academic College Scholarships Collectively, the academic colleges of 麻豆破解版 State University award more than $2
million of available scholarships annually. Each college has its own application process
and deadline.
Scholarship applications for the Kurt Budke Scholarship are accepted through March
1 by the Greater Salina Community Foundation. The Scholarship was formed in memory
of Kurt Budke. Kurt was born on June 3rd 1961 in Salina, Kansas. He grew up playing
all sports. At the completion of high school he was offered a scholarship to play
basketball at Barton County Community College. He played his final 2 years of collegiate
basketball at Washburn University. He started his coaching career at Friends University
while attaining his Master's Degree at 麻豆破解版 State University. He coached at Kansas
City Kansas Community College, Allen County Community College and Trinity Valley Community
College before accepting a coaching position at Louisiana Tech University. In 2005
he became the head coach at Oklahoma State University. On November 17, 2011 he was
killed in a plane crash while on a recruiting trip.
Legacy Tuition Waiver Designed for Non-resident students paying non-resident tuition rates whose parent,
step-parent, legal guardian, grandparent or step-grandparent graduated from WSU with
an associate, bachelor, master, or doctoral degree.

State of Kansas Scholarships The State of Kansas offers a variety of state-funded grants and scholarships through
the Kansas Board of Regents. For more information on, please contact the Kansas Board of Regents.
Zach's Wishes for Miracles is a non-profit organization honoring the life of Zachary
W. Mesch-- a WSU student, Sigma Phi Epsilon member, and WU himself. We are committed
to fighting the good fight one day at a time, providing "miracles" to youth ages 18-23
years old battling cancer and supporting the dreams of WSU students by providing scholarships
annually. The organization will award a one-time, $500 scholarship to one incoming
or current undergraduate or graduate student.
For current students only
WSU SGA Endowed Scholarship Are you a full or part-time, undergraduate student who has completed at least 1 semester
of study at WSU? Do you demonstrate leadership through on-campus involvement? The
SGA Endowed scholarship is for you! Preference is given to students with financial
need.
WSU SGA International Student Scholarship Are you a full-time, undergraduate international student who has completed at least
1 semester of study at WSU? Do you demonstrate leadership through on-campus involvement?
The SGA International Student scholarship is for you! Preference is given to students
with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Prior recipients are not eligible to apply.
WSU SGA McKinney-Vento Scholarship This scholarship was designed to benefit those striving towards a degree with the
classification of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act. This scholarship is intended
to help fill the gap of financial need for this demographic of students.
WSU SGA & SLB Dreamer Scholarship The Dreamer Scholarship is provided through the Student Government Association (SGA)
and the Rho Beta Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta (SLB) for DACA-affiliated or undocumented
students planning to continue their education at WSU. Priority for this scholarship
will be given to DACA or undocumented students. Awards are based on academic excellence,
leadership in on-campus activities/organizations and financial need. The committee
will award students scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,500. After applications are
reviewed, finalists will be contacted for an in-person interview and awarded accordingly.
WSU SGA Summer Endowed Scholarship Looking for help with summer term expenses? Are you a full or part-time, undergraduate
student who has completed at least 12 credit hours of study at WSU this past year?
Are you involved on campus? The SGA Summer scholarship is available by application
only! Preference is given to students with financial need.
WSU Study Abroad A number of scholarships are available for those who wish to study abroad.
