The Cost of Attendance is an estimate of your educational expenses for each period of enrollment. It establishes average costs for different categories of students (i.e. full time vs. part time, in-state tuition vs. out of state tuition, etc) and is the cornerstone for determining your financial need for "need-based" grants, loans, and work-study. It also sets a limit on the total federal aid that you may receive as a student.

2024-2025 Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance estimates below are based on a graduate student enrolling in 12 credit hours per semester, or 24 credit hours during the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters. Figures represent estimated academic year costs (excluding summer). You might spend more or less than these average estimates.

Frequently Asked Questions About Cost of Attendance

In order to practice in my chosen field, I need to pay for a professional licensure exam during my final semester. Is this included in the estimates for my cost of attendance?

*Professional Licensure: If your program of study leads to a career field that requires professional licensure to be gainfully employed, you may have additional costs for that licensure. Follow up with your academic program to learn more about when you will need to obtain your licensure and what costs will be associated with obtaining the licensure.

For Physician Associate (PT) and Physical Therapy programs, your examination and licensure expenses are estimated in your cost of attendance during your final year. If you are not in one of these programs but will have licensure or certification costs associated with being able to work in your chosen degree field - and you will incur these costs during your final semester, you may request these costs be added to your cost of attendance. Schedule an appointment with a financial aid advisor to discuss your options. Note that inclusion of a cost in your cost of attendance does not guarantee eligibility for additional financial aid.

If your program of study requires you to have a computer to be academically successful, follow up with your academic program to learn more about the type of computer you would need and how much the computer may cost. You may also speak with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships regarding the purchase of a computer that is needed for your academic program. Note that inclusion of a cost in your cost of attendance does not guarantee eligibility for additional financial aid.

Cost Glossary

Tuition & Fees: The amount of money that must be paid for classes; amounts may be based on residency status, course level, and instructional method. Other fees may be assessed in addition to tuition. Rates are approved by the Kansas Board of Regents each year, and are available in early July.

Books, Course Materials, Supplies & Equipment: The estimated amount for required course materials, books, supplies and equipment.
Food & Housing: The estimated costs for meals, rent, and utilities. Your actual amount may vary based on your personal choices and whether you live at home with a family member, on campus in a residence hall, or off campus.
Personal Expenses: This is an estimate of costs for clothing, haircuts, entertainment, etc. for the year. Money actually spent on these types of items will vary from student to student. These items will not appear on your 麻豆破解版 State bill.
Transportation Expenses: This is an estimate of the cost of traveling to and from campus or the cost of operating and maintaining a vehicle. With the exception of the transportation fee for the campus shuttle bus and the optional parking permit, you will not be billed directly for transportation costs.
Loan Fees: There is an origination fee for Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized student loans, which is taken out of the loan before funds are sent to 麻豆破解版 State. These funds help cover the costs associated with the loan servicer companies that manage your student loans. The amount listed is the average fee for students who borrow these loans. Actual fees will depend on the amount you borrow (if any).
Professional Licensure: Some programs of study lead to careers that require professional licensure to be gainfully employed. If you will have additional licensure or certification costs associated with your chosen degree field and will incur these costs during your final semester, these costs will be added to your cost of attendance.
