About the Office of Technology Services
The Office of Technology Services (OTS) is located on the 1st floor of Ahlberg Hall in room 100. This space has an open computer study lab, and OTS staff offices, and a large computer classroom.
We are currently a team of four staff that work in coordination and collaboration with the university to provide support and resources to all College of Health Professions faculty, staff and students to help promote best practices, understanding, and proper use of technology.
Mission Statement
The Office of Technology Service's mission is to provide a unified support system that functions to meet the technology needs of the College of Health Professions. We will achieve this by:
- Being more transparent in services offered.
- Streamlining staff support roles more efficiently by establishing a physically centralized space within the CHP building.
- Providing coordinated solutions and plans towards technology needs.
- Seeking opportunities to better educate and inform users on appropriate use of technology, policy and services.
- Exploring and addressing technology needs utilizing our working relationships with key stakeholders and support groups.
The Office of Technology Services:
- Provides desktop computer and hardware support
- Manages computer classroom training, scheduling and reservations
- Assists and supports technology used for online course and instructional support
- Provides supplemental software training, consultation and support
- Maintains and provides temporary computer and media checkout equipment
- Provides college and departmental website maintenance, training and support
- Maintains the college social media communication and marketing efforts
- Develops college publications, marketing and communication materials
- Assists with audio/video conferencing and more
