Professor Deborah Boyle (College of Charleston) will be the Philosophy Department's 2023 Distinguished Lecturer in the History of Philosophy. Boyle's research focuses on women philosophers in history of early modern and modern philosophy. She is author of Innate Ideas (Continuum, 2009) and The Well-Ordered University: The Philosophy of Margaret Cavendish (Oxford University Press, 2018).
