The Evaluation Committee reports its findings to the Curriculum Committee, which then leads to recommendations for change. The BSW Curriculum Committee of the School conducts ongoing review of the BSW curriculum, to evaluate the extent to which the goals and objectives of the Program are reflected in course syllabi, including the extent to which course objectives reflect the objectives of the Program, and will evaluate curricular compliance with accreditation standards and the Curriculum Policy Statement. The BSW Curriculum Committee meets on a regular basis throughout the academic year, with membership consisting of faculty, the BSW Program Coordinator, The Field Director, and a student representative. The BSW Curriculum Committee will receive the assessment report of the Evaluation Committee on a yearly basis and will make recommendations for curricular change when necessary. The Program Evaluation Committee collects and analyzes data obtained from the formative and summative evaluative measures described below. The Committee will also oversee the development of a comprehensive database for tracking students. A report on Program outcomes will be issued yearly. The report will include findings, including concerns and strengths. Faculty review of the Committees reports and delegation of responsibility for addressing concerns will occur on an on-going basis. Delegation of responsibility will be assigned by the Curriculum Committee and/or the Director of the School, as appropriate. Faculty review of reports and recommendations will be a major component of the annual BSW faculty retreat. Once per year, the faculty as a whole will meet for a day-long session focused on Program review and assessment. The BSW Program Coordinator reviews graduation statistics and course enrollment statistics. In addition, faculty will report all grades of D or F to the Program Coordinator. These and other program statistics, including demographics, GPA, and admissions data will be summarized yearly and presented to the Curriculum Committee. Course embedded assessment. Assessment of achievement of program objectives occurs through the evaluation of students enrolled in core courses. As part of its review of course syllabi, the Curriculum Committee has assessed the extent to which course syllabi reflect the BSW Program Objectives.
