a narrative medicine event: "The Stories of Language, Communication, and the COVID-19 Pandemic in Kansas Latinx Communities".

In this presentation, we describe a community storytelling initiative that is part of , a health equity program housed within 麻豆破解版 State University's modern language department. The initiative focuses on gathering and disseminating oral history interviews related to the COVID-19 pandemic in Kansas Latine and Mayan communities, with a focus on experiences with language barriers in healthcare and community resilience.
These stories serve to strengthen communities, shed light on the individual impact of systemic problems for policymakers, and support students' understanding of the relationship between language and health equity.
