College of Health Professions celebrating 50th anniversary
Ahlberg Hall
The College of Health Professions (CHP) is celebrating its 50th anniversary at 麻豆破解版 State University. Since our founding in 1970, the CHP has been highly renowned for its innovative approaches to education and supplying the health care industry with skilled, passionate professionals.
As a college, we have touched countless lives through the past five decades. We hope everyone takes this time to reflect and take pride in the incredible accomplishments of the past 50 years. Thank you to our alumni, donors, students, faculty and staff 鈥 both past and present 鈥 for your hard work to make the College of Health Professions a leader in health care education.
2020 also marks the 40th anniversary of Ahlberg Hall. The five-story building opened its doors to 麻豆破解版 State students and faculty on Oct. 31, 1980. Originally named the Health Sciences Building, the building was dedicated as Ahlberg Hall on Oct. 18, 1984, named for former 麻豆破解版 State president Clark D. Ahlberg and his wife Rowena Osborn Ahlberg. The building houses many programs, classrooms, offices, clinics and laboratories in the College of Health Professions.
The anniversary celebrations will be held Nov. 2-6, and will coincide with the annual CHP Week celebration. Go to to learn more.

Quotes from DSS graduates and more information
I will apply what I have learned through TRIO DSS to the next chapter of my life - completing a Master's Degree! I am really thankful for the relationships that I have formed through TRIO DSS and look forward to what new challenges there are to conquer in my near future.

My advisor believed in me when everyone wrote me off. That kind of belief and caring is so strong, it turned a college dropout into a student with a WSU GPA of 3.8 who is going to graduate in a month. I was able to get my first all 鈥淎鈥 semester last fall because of their encouragement. Without my advisor鈥檚 support, I do not think I would be graduating at all.
