myPerformance Manager Review is due now!
Managers of USS and Non-Teaching UP employees should now submit reviews and ratings for their direct reports for the 2018-19 annual evaluations in myPerformance. This step is due Thursday, Feb. 28.
Managers should log in to myPerformance in myWSU to rate their direct reports and submit comments to justify the ratings. For more information (including quick reference guides, training available, and open labs) go to www.wichita.edu/myPerformance.
Faculty Senate to meet on Monday, Feb. 11
The Faculty Senate will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, in 126 Clinton Hall. The main agenda item will be information on the DUO Two Factor Authentication process.
2018 Form 1095-C available online
WSU employees enrolled in medical insurance through the State of Kansas Employee Health Plan (SEHP) can now retrieve their Form 1095-C, confirming their medical insurance coverage in 2018.

Women working for peace in Korea
Nan Kim from the international peace organization Women Cross DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea) will be the featured speaker at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, in 266 RSC. The event is free and open to the public.
Kim is associate professor in the Department of History at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗ilwaukee, where she is the Director of the Public History Program and the Faculty Co-coordinator of the Asian Studies Certificate. She is the author of 鈥淢emory, Reconciliation, and Reunions in South Korea: Crossing the Divide鈥 (2017).

Parsa Kianpour, a Ph.D. student in the Department of Industrial, Systems, and Manufacturing Engineering at WSU, will present 鈥淥ptimization Methods for Tardiness / Earliness Scheduling Problem in Deterministic and Uncertain Job Shop Environment鈥 from 11 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 8, in 211 Engineering Building.
Graduate student seeking participants for coping with depression research project
A WSU graduate student working on her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology is seeking volunteers to participate in a project that compares two approaches for coping with depression. This study will be conducted within the Department of Psychology (Jabara Hall) under the supervision of Robert Zettle, and will require your involvement for 18- 20 weeks. The study involves eight weekly treatment sessions.
The first two weeks involve one hour sessions and the remaining six sessions will be half-hour sessions. Participants who complete all sessions will be contacted one week and two months later for follow-up measures.
Participants must be at least 18 and will be screened in three stages to determine their eligibility.
If you are interested, complete an (30 minutes) to assess your initial eligibility. The next two stages will be conducted in person for 20 and 50 minutes respectively.

Opportunity for students to network with local black professionals
The Fuse (an initiative out of the College of Applied Studies) is hosting event in collaboration with the Black Student Union and Office of Diversity and Inclusion from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in 142 RSC. This will be a time for students to network and engage with local black professionals from various industries.

This program is an extension of 鈥淪olving for X鈥 鈥 a series of exhibitions organized by the Ulrich Museum of Art in collaboration with university scholars across campus. The objective is to explore the potential for the museum, as a WSU public access point for the community, to make accessible the fascinating and essential research taking place on campus.
Gabor spearheads Little Free Library initiative in Haysville
To promote community, reading and imagination, Danielle Gabor, assistant director for WSU Haysville/WSU South, has been spearheading an initiative to install a network of Little Free Libraries (LFL) in the City of Haysville in collaboration with the Haysville City Hall, USD 261, the Haysville Community Library, Haysville Chamber of Commerce and other Haysville business partners.
With Danielle Gabor鈥檚 own wonderful artwork on its structure, the first and flagship LFL was completed and installed with the help of USD 261 right outside the WSU Haysville facility recently, and the Haysville Sun-Times newspaper recently reported the story.
