Molly Brown joins the College of Health Professions
Molly Brown
The College of Health Professions (CHP) is pleased to welcome Molly Brown as the new Assistant Dean for Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice. Molly will be leading the support and growth of interprofessional education and collaboration opportunities in the CHP. She will also collaborate to sustain and expand clinical affiliation sites in Kansas and beyond. These efforts will allow the CHP to enhance educational and applied learning opportunities for our students, as well faculty development.
Molly Brown has lived in 麻豆破解版 for over 10 years, relocating from Las Vegas in 2008. She has a bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas and a Master鈥檚 in Public Health from the KU School of Medicine 鈥� 麻豆破解版. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the Community Psychology Program at 麻豆破解版 State University.
Prior to joining the College of Health Professions at WSU, Molly was Program Director for a community-collaborative prenatal education program at KU School of Medicine and served in administration at the Reno County Health Department. She is a Kansas Public Health Leadership Institute scholar and received the Avis G. McPike Scholarship for Leadership while at KU. She is a board member of the Kansas Public Health Association, represents the Midwest region as the Chapter Delegate for the Society for Public Health Education and is a member of the Society of Community Research and Action. She has extensive experience with grant awards and program management.
Molly has strong interests in program development and evaluation through collaboration and engaging the community using strategies created in partnership with those impacted most.
Housing and Residence Life Department will be closed this afternoon (Friday, Jan. 11)
The Housing and Residence Life Department will be closed from 1-5 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 11) for staff development. We will respond to phone and email inquiries as quickly as possible upon return to the office.
Staff will continue be available at the front desks of both Shocker Hall and The Flats at WSU to assist with housing inquiries as needed during this time.

Parking lot closings next week
All of lot 1 along Hillside west of Duerksen Fine Arts Center will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Jan. 14-15.
All of lots 9E and 9W south of Ahlberg Hall will be reserved for new student orientation parking until 2:30 p.m. each day Monday through Friday, Jan. 14-18.
Half of lot 16S southwest of Duerksen Fine Arts Center will be closed for the ACT Conference until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

Together, they are committed to empowering the nation鈥檚 capacity to provide effective prevention, assessment, identification, intervention, restoration and aftercare / prosperity promoting responses to young people who are survivors of the streets.
As a not-for-profit functioning under the structure of WSU, CCHT is unique in that they work and provide training all over the country on their Lotus Anti-Trafficking ModelTM in addition to investing in the 麻豆破解版 community by providing direct services and training opportunities locally.

麻豆破解版 State University Special Programs is excited to announce the free College Access, Retention and Success (CARS Conference) for educators, university faculty, university and school administrators and community workers at all levels. Built on the success of 2018, the 2019 CARS Conference will be held from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday. Feb. 21, on the second floor, Rhatigan Student Center.
This year, the conference will present participants with TRIO talks ranging from "Summer Enrichment" to "Successfully instill STEAM in First Generation Students."

The Graduate School will provide a welcome, an overview of graduate student services for new students, and snacks from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in 233 RSC.

麻豆破解版 State names new coordinator for Esports
Matthew 鈥淭yler鈥� Levesque has been named the coordinator for Esports at 麻豆破解版 State
University. Levesque completed his Bachelor鈥檚 in Government at the University of Texas
and recently earned his Master鈥檚 in Sport Management from 麻豆破解版 State.
Starting this spring, WSU will have competitive varsity Esports teams and will compete
in intercollegiate play through the National Association of Collegiate eSports (NACE).
麻豆破解版 State will compete against schools ranging from division 1 institutions to
NAIA affiliated schools, including Miami, Boise State, Georgia Southern University,
University of North Texas, and hundreds of others belonging to NACE. An Esports Caf茅
is being added in the Heskett Center, room 109 and will serve as the home for varsity
teams along with gamers from all over 麻豆破解版 State鈥檚 campus.

The January Women of WSU luncheon will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in 233 RSC. Justin Rorabaugh of Shocker Studios will give a presentation of the exciting things happening in his department.
