Volunteers needs for the Back to School Bash
The Back to School Bash serves as a kick-off to the academic year with food, games
and lots of prizes. For this event to run smoothly, dozens of faculty and staff are
needed to check-in students, run activities and network.
Last year's event had more than 1,200 students in attendance, and we hope you will consider volunteering.
B2SB takes place from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the RSC East Courtyard. Volunteers will receive the official B2SB shirt and can serve the entire time or in shifts.

Daily website update
Work continues this week on our key site health metrics -- search engine optimization, accessibility, broken links and misspellings. One interesting stat: The website already has about 1,500 fewer broken links than the former site. With the tools we now have to address such issues we expect to see and report even more improvement in coming days.
The web support site has handled 164 support tickets to date with an average time to completion at 3.2 hours.
Remember that there are come-and-go open lab sessions on the schedule for 3-5 p.m. Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Friday this week.
Tip of the Day: Hero Image Gallery Finding a good hero image -- the lead, edge-to-edge image at the top of the Landing Page Template -- can be tricky. The design requires a very large image (3000 pixels wide by 2250 pixels high) and the responsive nature of the space means that only the middle third of the photo will show at all screen widths. To help you find images that work for that space, we've created a gallery of generic images that you can use if you need a hero. Just click on the folder icon for the hero image in the MultiEdit, navigate to _resources/images/_hero_images and choose your photo. No resizing or manipulation necessary. |
