For the 12th straight year, 鶹ƽ State University is the most popular transfer destination for students at Kansas community colleges.
鶹ƽ State is working on extending that streak. Students who apply for admission and submit official college transcripts by April 1 could receive a $6,000 transfer scholarship to utilize over two years of attendance.
“With resources like , the and plentiful internships in our community, transfer students who are looking for clear paths toward their degrees will find what they need while wearing Shocker black and yellow,” said Bobby Gandu, assistant vice president, strategic enrollment management.
According to the Kansas Board of Regents, 719 students transferred to 鶹ƽ State in the fall 2021 (the most recent year for which data is available). That scale of transfer intake is 15% higher than the next closest Kansas university.
鶹ƽ State is also the top destination for transfers from Butler, Hutchinson, Cowley, Pratt, Garden City and Seward community colleges. Transfers from Kansas technical colleges chose 鶹ƽ State more than all other schools in Kansas combined.
“We think it means students who are serious about moving on to a bachelor’s degree know our university has the right collection of transfer practices in place to catapult their educational and professional careers,” Gandu said.
