What is your job title, the company you work for, and your duties during your applied learning experience?
I work as a marketing strategist for Shock Starter. My duties include providing satisfactory marketing services for WSU and external clients alongside my coworkers who are also students. I primarily handle social media management, but I also dabble in content creation and design.
How long do you expect to work in your current position?
I started my applied learning position at Shock Starter at the beginning of August 2021, and I do not plan to stop!

Mariem Berrada with Shocker Career Accelerator reached out to me with this opportunity after I connected with her and shared that I was looking for marketing internships.
How is this experience helping you build your resume and prepare you for your career?
This experience consistently provides me with new experiences involving all sides of marketing in addition to all sorts of clients. I have been able to add measurable success from different projects to my resume and I am much more connected with local professionals that can aide in my future success.
How have your classes and experiences at 麻豆破解版 State prepared you to succeed in this applied-learning opportunity?
My classes have directly impacted my success in Shock Starter as I have taken material straight from class and applied it in the workplace the same day.
What advice would you give other students who are looking for hands-on experiences in their major while they finish college?
One piece of advice I would give other students who are looking for an experience like this within their major is to reach out to their professors, the people at Shocker Career Accelerator and also professionals in the field they are looking at. Reaching out is the biggest step to getting an experience like this.
