Meet a Shocker: Kennedy Stamm

Kennedy Stamm was led to 鶹ƽ State because she liked the 鶹ƽ School District. Now, she will start her teaching job in August after receiving a degree in elementary education.

What degree did you earn?

I am receiving a Bachelors in elementary education

What is your hometown?

 My hometown is Valley Center, Kansas

What led you to 鶹ƽ State?

It is close to home, and I love the city of 鶹ƽ and I love the 鶹ƽ School District.

How are you feeling leading up to graduation?

I am excited and ready to start the next journey of life.

What has been your most helpful learning experience while a student at 鶹ƽ State?

I have learned to always be flexible and to always live in the moment.

What has been your biggest challenge as a student, and how did you overcome it?

My biggest challenge has been COVID-19 and I have learned to just take each day as a time.

What are your plans after graduation?

I will be working as a para-professional in the 鶹ƽ Public Schools District and then getting a teaching job in August.

How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your time at 鶹ƽ State or your post-graduation plans? 

 I don’t feel it has changed much other than having way more online classes finishing my time at 鶹ƽ State.

What advice would you give other 鶹ƽ State students?

My advice is to get out of your comfort zone and try new things and experience new things. Always stay open minded.
