Local entrepreneur benefits from WSU's Gateway to IP program

Lacie Leatherman, the founder of 鶹ƽ-based companies LML Headwear and Sip Brands, recently determined she needed a utility patent for her newest invention. With a tight deadline and limited knowledge of patents, Lacie turned to 鶹ƽ State’s Gateway to IP program.

As a part of WSU Ventures, Gateway to IP is designed to advance innovation while protecting intellectual property. With fewer than 10 registered patent practitioners in 鶹ƽ, the program plays an important role in filling the city’s resource void.
