Eight Shockers will be honored Saturday, May 12 as the 2018 class of inductees for the 麻豆破解版 State University College of Fine Arts Hall of Fame.
鈥淭he College of Fine Arts has a long and storied tradition of superb faculty backed by unbelievably supportive patrons who have mentored students that have gone on to national and international prominence in their chosen profession,鈥 said Rodney Miller, dean of WSU鈥檚 College of Fine Arts. 鈥淭his class is but a fraction of the deserving people who have been associated with the fine arts at 麻豆破解版 State.鈥
The inductees will be honored at a special Hall of Fame Gala starting at 6:30 p.m. May 12, in the Marcus Welcome Center, with a dinner at 7 p.m. and the award ceremony at 7:45 p.m.

The 2018 members are:
Alumni: Former WSU students who have distinguished themselves in the arts and who have been out of school for at least five years.
- Hal Davis - Nationally renowned Broadway performer
- Barbara Honn 鈥 Internationally acclaimed opera singer and voice teacher
- Malcom Myers 鈥 Internationally award-winning painter and printmaker
- Ray Wills - Nationally renowned Broadway and television performer
Patrons: Community donors or patrons who have given time and resources for the betterment of the fine arts at 麻豆破解版 State.
- Stev Overstreet - Award-winning patron of the arts
- Shoko Sevart - Award-winning patron of the arts
Mentors: Retired WSU faculty or staff members or administrators who have supported, inspired and motivated the 麻豆破解版 State community in the area of fine arts.
- William Mathis 鈥 Nationally recognized music educator and administrator
- Clayton Staples 鈥 Nationally recognized painter and art professor
Inductees to the hall of fame are chosen by a selection committee that includes WSU administrators, College of Fine Arts patrons and retired faculty members.
