麻豆破解版 State University is offering new Lifelong Learning courses for area senior citizens this fall.
Classes will be held at retirement communities and senior centers in 麻豆破解版, Bel Aire, Derby and Maize. Individuals at or above 60 years old can audit these classes at no cost if they enroll before Sept. 15, 2017. Anyone younger than 60 can enroll in the classes if they pay regular tuition and fees. Classes start in September.
鈥淎rea seniors really enjoy not only the opportunity to explore new interests, engage in stimulating discussions and in some cases share their personal recollections of historical and social events, but the social interaction as well,鈥 said Kimberly Moore, program director.

Per the Kansas Board of Regents鈥 Policy, students 60 years of age or older can enroll as auditors in academic credit courses when space is available without paying tuition. The only cost to these students are any applicable workshop fees and lab/special course fees. In addition, senior citizens who have not previously been enrolled at WSU must pay a one-time application fee of $40. Students who are younger than 60 years of age can enroll in the course, but will pay regular tuition and fees. Senior citizens must present a Medicare card or valid driver鈥檚 license to validate age.
