Eleven 麻豆破解版 high schoolers have spent the week retrofitting toy ride-on cars for children with disabilities.
Their work is part of a summer camp put together by 麻豆破解版 State University鈥檚 GoBabyGo! program, a collaboration between Rainbows United and WSU students in physical therapy and engineering.
This time, high school students are getting the chance to make a difference in the lives of four small children. They鈥檙e taking toy ride-on cars and rewiring, reprogramming and adjusting steering wheels and pedals for children with Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome and Dystonia.
The students will give the finished cars to the children from 2-4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 15, in Room 105 of WSU鈥檚 Experiential Engineering Building.
