WSU Shift Space will present “BLIP,” an evening of live performance art and an exhibition of videos, photographs, objects and texts that serve as documents of ephemeral actions that would otherwise be forgotten, with an opening reception from 6-10 p.m. on Final Friday, Aug. 29, at Shift Space, 803 E. 3rd St. in Old Town. The reception is free and open to the public.
Live performances will be from 7:30-9 p.m. The exhibit will also be open 4-7 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; and 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 20.
The exhibit sprang from a summer class titled “Ephemeral Art Practices and Documentation” that was taught by visiting artist Annie Strader. The student artists include Melody Bevier, Jordan Chalmers, Ivanna Gunawan, Meghan Hayes, Mike Miller, Jessica Cruz Rivera and Tatiana Svrckova.
The site-specific performance series will take place on WSU campus at the following locations. Strader said these works should not be missed.

- 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3: Jordan Chalmers, “Being,” outside the north entrance of the Rhatigan Student Center.
