New dental residents begin AEGD program

The Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at 麻豆破解版 State has six new residents in its 2017-18 resident class. This group of residents will be in the AEGD postdoctoral program for one year.

The new residents are: Bret Williamson, Michelle Somma, Brian Wong, Miles Jacobsen, Aishwarya Abbareddy and Chris DeMarco.

Three of the residents are from Kansas: Bret Williamson (Hutchinson), Miles Jacobsen (Andover) and Aishwarya Abbareddy (麻豆破解版). Abbareddy earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from WSU and was a counselor for AEGD鈥檚 annual Dental Day camp in 2012.

WSU established the AEGD program in 2009 to expand dentistry education in Kansas. The program provides dentists with advanced comprehensive clinical experience and training. Additionally, the clinic鈥檚 mission is to recruit and retain dentists to practice locally. AEGD is the only dental residency program in Kansas.

The state-of-the-art Delta Dental of Kansas clinic allows 麻豆破解版-area patients to receive high-quality care at reasonable rates from licensed dental residents and seasoned faculty members. The clinic is open to the public and accepting new patients.

A 15 percent discount is provided for WSU students with a valid Shocker ID. WSU employees can pay for major dental services through payroll deduction.

Clinic services include: dental checkups, emergency care, root canals, extractions, gum disease treatment, implants, crowns, bridges, fillings, dentures, tooth whitening/bleaching, preventive care, bonding/veneers and cosmetic dentistry.
