Academic support leads to higher GPAs among sororities, fraternities

Student Involvement wants to recognize the continued success of the 22 organizations in the fraternity and sorority community at 麻豆破解版 State. This semester the community achieved a 3.210 collective GPA. In addition, all chapters achieved above a 2.75 individually.

In 2014, Fraternity and Sorority Life developed an updated academic support plan that integrated the efforts of chapters with university resources.

Specifically, chapters and councils developed peer advising, increased access and utilization of supplemental instruction / campus tutoring and revamped proctored study hours.

The byproduct has been the consistent increase of academic performance for all chapters, councils and active / new members.

These efforts were part of a 2014-17 strategic plan for the community. This has also resulted in more than 50,000 services hours and $287,000 raised for philanthropy in this period.
