Local student awarded $32,000 political science scholarship to WSU

The Political Science Department at 麻豆破解版 State University has awarded the 2017 Joan Hargrove Political Science Scholarship to Daniel Caudill of 麻豆破解版 South High School.

Caudill, who is interested in a career in political communication and campaigns, will receive $32,000 to study at 麻豆破解版 State starting in the fall of 2017. The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who plan to major in political science, are enrolled full time and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.

The scholarship, gifted by TV producer Dean Hargrove, honors the memory of his mother, who worked for Hugo Wall for many years. WSU鈥檚 Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs is named in his honor.

Hargrove is most known for his work at Viacom Productions, where he collaborated with Fred Silverman to produce many popular shows. Some of his best known works include 鈥淢atlock,鈥 鈥淛ake and the Fatman,鈥 鈥淔ather Dowling Mysteries鈥 and 鈥淒iagnosis: Murder.鈥
