Professor Jay Mandt has announced his decision to resign as director of the Emory Lindquist Honors program effective at the end of the 2009 fiscal year and return to a full-time faculty position in the department of philosophy. Mandt will have served 14 years as director, during which time he restructured the curriculum, increased enrollments and developed a freshman honors retreat. He also has been active in regional and national honors associations. According to associate provost Keith Pickus, a search for his replacement will be conducted during the next academic year.
