Community Opportunities
WSU Community Service Board
WSU鈥檚 Community Service Board is a student organization that works to address issues
of public concern through service and active citizenship in the community for faculty,
staff and students.
Service-Learning at WSU is an experiential learning method that integrates community
service with instruction and reflection to improve student civic-mindedness and build
community capacity.
WSU has standing relationships with many nonprofit organizations in the 麻豆破解版 community
covering a wide range of special interests including health, education, physical fitness
and need-based outreach.
Employee Assistance Program
The EAP is confidential assistance for State of Kansas benefits-eligible employees
and their dependents at no charge. It provides information, short-term counseling,
advice and referrals from licensed professionals.
Shocker Food Locker
Shocker Food Locker is a service project of the SGA that provides ongoing support
for the pantry, including coordinating pantry operations, hosting food drives and
overall support of the Shocker Food Locker.
Faculty and staff can visit the Faculty/Staff Acute Care Clinic for minor and acute
medical issues. The clinic is located in the Student Wellness Center within the Steve
Clark YMCA. Most appointments are $30 to $50 for an office visit evaluation by a Student
Health Services medical provider, dependent on insurance. The office visit cost does
not include the costs for laboratory services, medications or radiology services.
